Anson’s Furniture & Salvage in San Jose, CA

About Us

Who We Are

Locally owned and operated in San Jose, Anson’s Furniture & Salvage is a moving & hauling company that offers practical solutions for a modern lifestyle. Born out of a love for well-built things and a desire to keep them out of landfills, we specialize in junk removal, local moving, large-item delivery, and vintage furniture sales. Whether we’re clearing a garage or delivering a 200-pound armoire up three flights of stairs, our mission remains the same: to treat every item and every customer with care, respect, and honesty.

Junk Removal

Clearing Space. Reducing Waste.

Our junk removal services go beyond just “hauling stuff away.” We sort, salvage, and recycle whenever possible, minimizing what ends up in the landfill. From old sofas and broken appliances to construction debris or cluttered storage units, we handle the heavy lifting with efficiency and respect for your property. Whether it’s a one-off cleanout or part of a larger project, Anson’s brings a thoughtful, full-service approach to every job.

Local Moving

Reliable Help for Short-Haul Moves

Moving down the street or across town? We’ve got you. Our local moving service is tailored for short-distance relocations that still require muscle, planning, and a steady hand. Whether you’re moving a one-bedroom apartment, downsizing from a family home, or relocating an office, we bring the same care and attention to detail you’d expect from a close friend — only with better straps and a truck.

Large-Item Delivery

Big Items, Delivered with Care

Furniture, appliances, estate sale finds, Craigslist treasures—if it’s bulky, awkward, or too heavy for your car, we can get it where it needs to go. Our large-item delivery service is perfect for individuals, interior designers, and small businesses who need safe, affordable transport for valuable pieces. We treat every item as if it were our own, and we’re happy to help with light assembly or in-home placement upon request.

Vintage Furniture Sales

Character You Can’t Buy at the Big Box

We believe furniture should have soul. That’s why we offer a curated selection of vintage, salvaged, and secondhand pieces — each one chosen for its craftsmanship, charm, and potential to live on. Our inventory ranges from mid-century modern staples to rustic farmhouse finds and everything in between. All items are available for viewing online and by appointment. Looking for something specific? We can help source it.

Why We Do What We Do

At Anson’s, we believe in extending the life of well-made things and making life easier for the people who own them. Whether we’re clearing a space, moving a home, or finding a new life for an old table, we operate with integrity, transparency, and an eye for sustainability. It’s not just about hauling and handling — it’s about doing things right.
